Trabocchi Coast
A true wonder of the Abruzzo coastline, the trabocchi, imposing structures that emerge from the waters and make for a spectacular view. These unusual giants, still of uncertain origin, can be found along the Trabocchi Coast, that stretch of coastline between Ortona and Vasto along the Adriatic Sea.
These are ancient fishing machines on stilt houses, which are generally attributed to the Phoenicians. Regardless of their origins, trabocchi are unique structures that offer an extraordinary view, standing out against the blue Adriatic Sea and evoking intense emotions.
